Located in the high mountains of Western
North Carolina, the studio of Visual Dialogue is situated atop a mountain overlooking a bold stream in a small community
of vacation homes. Visual Dialogue is owned and operated by Julia Thompson a local artist and summer resident in the community
for more than sixty years. In 2004, Julia and husband Ron - owner/broker of Winter Star Real Estate and Property Management
- moved to their present location permanently. The studio is not open to the public and conducts all its business
activities via the internet. Julia's background and experience in the arts includes, many years of academic and private study and
forty years of employment in the fields of graphic and commercial art and printing as well as computer graphics. Current
activity is focused on a life-long interest in portraits, caricatures and photography.
